NOTE:  The truth is... without television, the Monkees would never have taken off the way they did back in the 1960s.  Television fed the MonkeeMachine in all aspects of their careers, and when the show went off the air, the Monkees careers pretty much dried up as well.  In the 1980s, it was again television (this time, MTV) which brought the Monkees back to the public consciousness.  So now, don't you think it's time to catch the Monkees craze again?
